Veleda Thorsson-Heikkinen is a filmmaker and visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. With a foundation in dark, expressive, and cinematic photography, her work explores mood, memory, and the surreal edges of reality. She is known for her use of shadow, reflection, and stylized composition. Her transition into filmmaking began with 'Haunters of the Silence', an experimental horror film she co-directed, co-wrote, and shot in collaboration with her husband, Tatu. The film extends her visual language into motion, blending horror and art-house sensibilities.
